Scripts: Call • Email • Talk

Use these as-is or tweak to your voice. Short, firm, respectful works best.

Call Your MP (1–2 minutes)

Find your MP: House of Commons lookup

Script: “Hi, my name is [Name] from [Postal Code]. I’m asking the MP to publicly support an immediate ceasefire, to halt Canadian arms exports that may enable violations, and to ensure unhindered humanitarian access and accountability. Will the MP commit publicly and share a statement I can circulate?”

Tip: Ask staffer for their name and a follow-up email address.

Municipal & Provincial

Use the same asks with Mayor & Council (procurement, facility access, policing practices) and your MPP (civil liberties, protest rights, provincial procurement).

  • Mayor & Council: “Adopt ethical procurement; protect peaceful assembly; reject discriminatory restrictions on signs or speech.”
  • MPP: “Affirm protest rights; ensure police guidance respects Charter freedoms; oppose discriminatory bylaws.”

Community Conversations

  • Lead with values: dignity, civilian protection, equal rights.
  • Myth-check: Critique of policies ≠ prejudice against a people; condemn all racism.
  • Point to facts: UN/NGO reporting on civilian harm and aid access; ICJ/ICC processes.
